Your data

Privacy policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Effective January 1, 2025 / last updated September 2026
01

Information we collect

Contact information. Parent or guardian name, athlete name, email address and, if you choose to give it, a mobile phone number. Phone number is optional on every form on this site.
Athlete information. Grade, school or program, position, self-reported stats, training goals and any injury notes you share so coaches can train safely.
Payment details. Card information is entered into and held by our payment processor. We never store full card numbers on our own systems.
Communications. Messages, session notes, film and feedback exchanged with your coach through the athlete portal.
Usage data. Basic analytics about how the site and portal are used, such as pages visited and device type.
02

How we use your information

/Scheduling sessions and sending reminders and schedule changes
/Processing payments and managing memberships
/Delivering personalized coaching, film breakdowns and progress tracking
/Responding to inquiries, referrals and camp or league registrations
/Sending program updates and promotions, only where you have opted in
/Meeting legal, tax and safety obligations
03

Text messaging

How we get consent. We text only numbers whose owner has ticked an SMS consent box on a form on this site (free session booking, new member onboarding, referral or contact), or has opted in directly with a coach in person, by phone or in writing. We never buy, rent or import phone numbers or SMS consent from a third party list. Consent is never a condition of purchase, and every form on this site works without a phone number.
What we send. Two separate opt-ins, ticked separately. Transactional messages cover booking confirmations, session reminders, schedule changes, and payment or account notices. Marketing messages cover program updates, camp and league announcements, and occasional promotions. Opting in to one does not opt you in to the other.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies with your athlete’s schedule, and is typically a handful of messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, and those charges come from your mobile carrier, not from us.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from that program. Reply HELP for help, or reach us at (419) 863-5772 or coachtrey@goat-training.org. Opting out of texts does not affect your membership or your athlete’s slots.
Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Never shared for marketing. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Section 5 sets this out in full.
04

Third party services

We share only what each provider needs to do its job. We do not sell your personal information.

Stripe
Payment processing and billing
Coach IQ
Athlete portal, booking, film and session management
GoHighLevel
CRM, email and text delivery, follow up tracking

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of an athlete, a coach or the public.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are excluded from everything in this section. They are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See section 5.

05

No sharing of SMS opt-ins

The rule. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Excluded from all sharing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information sharing described in section 4. This information is not shared with any third party.
Delivery is the only exception. Your mobile number is passed to the messaging provider that physically delivers our messages on our behalf. That provider may use it only to deliver our messages, never for its own marketing.
No sale, ever. We do not sell, rent or trade mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent records to anyone, for any purpose, at any time.
06

Athletes under 18

Most of our athletes are minors. Accounts, consents and billing are held by a parent or guardian, and forms on this site ask for a parent or guardian name for that reason.
We collect only what is needed to train an athlete safely and communicate with their family. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without a parent or guardian involved, and we do not market to minors.
A parent or guardian may review, correct or delete their athlete's information at any time by contacting us.
07

Photo, video and film

Coaching film. We record clips during sessions to break down technique. Film shared with your family stays inside the athlete portal.
Marketing use. Photos and video from sessions, camps and events may appear in our content. Onboarding includes an optional consent for this, and you can opt out at any time by telling a coach.
Removal. Ask us to take down a specific photo or clip and we will remove it from anything we control.
08

Data security

We use secure servers, encrypted connections and access controls that limit athlete information to the coaches who need it. Payment card data is handled entirely by our processor. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you promptly.

09

Your rights and choices

/Access, update or delete your information, or your athlete's
/Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message
/Stop text messages by replying STOP, without affecting your membership
/Withdraw photo and video consent at any time
/Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you

Transactional messages about a booked session, a payment or a safety matter may still reach you after you opt out of marketing.

10

Data retention and changes

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as required for tax and legal records. Ask us to delete your account and we will, keeping only what the law requires us to hold.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in advance, and the current version always lives on this page.
